个人简介
周而勋,男,理学博士,中共党员,1986年7月参加工作。现任 植物病理学和微生物学三级教授、博士生导师, 热带亚热带真菌研究室主任,中国菌物学会理事第六、七、八届理事会理事,广东省植物病理学会第六、七、八、九届理事会理事,广东省微生物学会第十届理事会理事,《热带作物学报》和《热带生物学报》编委;曾于2003年和2009年先后两次赴美国佛罗里达大学、阿肯色大学/美国农业部国家水稻研究中心和路易斯安那州立大学从事博士后研究和访问学者共约3年时间,分别从事柑橘病害、水稻病害和人体病原真菌新型隐球酵母菌G蛋白信号转导研究。

参加工作30多年来,一直在高等学校从事热带作物、农作物、果树、蔬菜、茶叶、中药材和花卉等植物病害及其防治等教学与科研工作,积累了丰富的工作经验;曾先后在国内外各3所大学学习和工作过,具有良好的国际视野以及坚实宽广的植物病理学和分子生物学等相关学科的基础理论知识和实验技能。目前的研究课题主要集中在一些重要植物真菌病害的致病与抗病分子机制、寄主与病原菌互作的基础理论以及拮抗菌和真菌病毒在植物病害生物防治上的应用等方面。

先后主讲和参讲本科生、硕士生和博士生课程十几门,全部课程的教学效果都非常好,深受学生好评。

指导学生
从1996年开始招收研究生,平均每年招收2~3名硕士、博士研究生。到目前为止,先后招收和指导了53名硕士生和10名博士生。另外,每年还指导3~4名本科生做毕业论文。
