Liao Ming,Male,Born in Beijing, Ph.D. in Agriculture, Professor, vice president of South China Agricultural University, director of National and Regional joint engineering Laboratory of Medicament of Zoonosis Prevention and Control of china, director of Key Laboratory of Zoonotic Diseases of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and head of Veterinary Medicine discipline of South China Agricultural University, vice chairman of the Chinese Association of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, chairman of the Guangdong Association of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, head of the Animal Influenza expert Group of the National Committee of experts on Animal Disease Prevention, vice chairman of the Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education (Animal Medicine Specialty Teaching steering Committee). He received his Ph.D Degree in 1997 at South China Agricultural University. Since then, he has been working at South China Agricultural University.

Dr. Liao got the special government allowance and was elected in New Century Talent Supporting Project by Education Ministry in 2006. He was employed as distinguished professor for the Pear River Scholars in Guangdong Province in 2008 and was selected for “Millions of Talents Project” of Nation in 2009 and the Outstanding Talents in Scientific Research, china Ministry of Agriculture in 2012. He won the 1st class of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award for twice and other 14 provincial or ministerial level awards. He obtained 5 certificate for new veterinary medicine and 13 national patents for invention.

Epidemiology, pathogenesis mechanism and  vaccine developing of zoonotic viral diseases, especially in animal influenza virus.
