1. Introduction of GDIC

Guangzhou Dublin International College of Life Sciences and Technology at South China Agricultural University, referred to as Dublin International College, is an international Chinese-foreign cooperative educational institution jointly established by South China Agricultural University and University College Dublin (UCD). It was officially approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2020 (Ministry of Education license number: MOE44IEA02DNR20202069N). Located on the campus of South China Agricultural University, Dublin International College currently offers three undergraduate programs: Biological Sciences, Food Quality and Safety, and Horticulture. It commenced nationwide student recruitment in 2020.


Dublin International College implements a dual registration, dual degree, '4+0' training model and international teaching system, leveraging the quality resources of both institutions and the expertise of senior professors to design the program curriculum and jointly oversee talent cultivation. Upon enrollment, students are officially registered at both South China Agricultural University and University College Dublin. Upon successful completion of four years of undergraduate study at South China Agricultural University, eligible students will be awarded a bachelor's degree from South China Agricultural University as well as a corresponding bachelor's degree from University College Dublin.


2. Introduction to University College Dublin, Ireland

UCD's School of Agriculture and Food Science stands as the sole professional institution in Ireland offering agricultural and food science education, while its agricultural science program was ranked 19th in the world by US News in 2019.


UCD is internationally recognized for its exceptional educational standards and groundbreaking research areas, serving as the alma mater of Ireland's most influential leaders, including three Irish Presidents, five Prime Ministers, six justices, one Indian Prime Minister, and numerous renowned scholars and artists such as James Joyce.
